Blood tranfusions from homosexual soldiers?

I hadn't thought of this point; the FACT that homosexual men are 50 times more likely to have aids that heterosexual men. Wow. What a great point when one takes into account the bloodiness of the battlefield and the need for AIDS-free blood from fellow soldiers. I wonder how homofascists will counter this scientific fact. My supporting info is here.

  1. I don't get it. What's your point?

Are soldiers, including closeted gay soldiers who can not reveal their status as MSM because of DADT, required to give blood? Do soldiers not have the opportunity to indicate (anonymously if they prefer) that their blood is not suitable for donation?

Seems that unless you're advocating that we should have witch hunts in the military to force out all any MSM, the best thing to do would be allow them to serve openly so that the military could easily decide who's blood to refuse.

Also, the study cites the general population of gay men who have AIDS, does not gay men in the military, who I assume would undergo more frequent blood testing.

  2. My point is, the fact that a homosexual is 50 times more likely to be HIV positive is one more reason that DADT should stand.
