Homofascism backfires on anti-Christ teacher.

What would happen to a teacher if he was a Christian and had suspended a gay student for saying that Christianity was wrong?

“...Fort Worth, TX — Last week, high school freshman Dakota Ary was given in-school suspension for telling another student that he believes homosexuality is wrong because of his Christian faith. Western Hills High School teacher, Kristopher Franks, is responsible for his suspension and has now been placed on administrative leave with pay.

...Franks overheard the comment, wrote Dakota an infraction, and sent him to the principal’s office...

...Franks charged Dakota with “possible bullying” and indicated, “It is wrong to make such a statement in public school.”

Two weeks prior to this event, Franks displayed a picture of two men kissing on a “World Wall” and told his students that homosexuality is becoming more prevalent in the world and that they should just accept it...

...the school district reversed the in-school suspension and placed Franks on administrative leave with pay.

This teacher should not force his views about homosexuality upon students. Teachers cannot use their position to bully students and humiliate them in front of their peers.”...”

Story here.

  1. I don't necessarily disagree with your conclusion about the teacher forcing his views. And I have no problems with the student expressing his opinion based on his religion.

To me this seems to be an example of the teacher taking his views too far and over reacting.

Is the lgbt community becoming more prevalent in our culture? Of course. Especially since they are no seeking equal rights. The teacher heard the comment and reacted with fear. "this student is being a hate monger because his views conflict with my beliefs and the beliefs of many others" type thing.

I can even agree with the suspension of the teacher. His over reaction caused an increase amount of conflict within that school.

However I cannot in good conscience agree that the teacher is either homofascist or anti-christian. Like I said, it seems to me to have been an overreaction to a statement that he took out of context.

  2. The glbt community has the exact same rights that I do. If your referring to the redefinition of marriage, how come the gay community never uses the phrase, "redefine marriage"? I believe that the teacher is a homofascist not only for his rabid reaction to the truth spoken by the Christian student, but also because of the two-men-kissing photograph that the teacher put on the wall of his classroom. He had to know that the pic would be offensive to some, if not most of his students, and he did it anyway. That was in-your-face disrespect.
If a Christian teacher had put up a Ten Commandments poster in his classroom, there would have been swift action taken against him.

  3. A religion is no excuse for hate speech. Should the kid have told a Jewish student that he was wrong and going to hell it would be considered hate speech in school. If the bible said that the left-handed were inherently evil you could not marginalize the lefties in school either.

  4. What is your definition of hate speech? What do you consider "marginalizing"? I think that you label anything or anyone that calls homosexuality wrong as a "hater."
